PCS is owned and operated by, Jeff Shapiro. Jeff started his systems career in 1983 by developing and supporting loan processing/servicing software and PC networks for a mortgage broker/banker. Because others in his local community began requesting assistance setting up software and networks, in 1985 Jeff opened American Data Systems (ADS) which offered a full range of computer services, equipment and supplies.

Though the business grew, Jeff began spending more time running ADS and less time in software development and business consulting. With the desire to get back into development and consulting, around 1998 Jeff closed ADS and opened Professional Computer Services.
